Our timbered house is a historically valuable building that is estimated to be 200-250 years old. The combination of modern technology with the characteristics of the original building offers a pleasant experience and evokes a relaxing atmosphere and peace. Roubenka is located in the middle of the nature of Ašský výběžek, at the same time near the historic towns Cheb and Františkovy Lázně. The accommodation offers a pleasant stay in a romantic historical building set in a clean natural environment.
Our guests can use our private sauna and whirlpool (for a fee), outdoor terrace with barbecue and fireplace. Parking is directly available in the parking lot on this property.
ABOUT THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE BUILDING
The farmhouse was newly renovated in 2015. Three separate authentic rooms and a lounge were created in the former stable. The nearby shed is currently used as a boiler room and utility room for the building. In the former barn, a private wellness area with a sauna and jacuzzi was built. During the reconstruction, we aimed to restore this unique example of rural folk architecture to its most authentic form. For this purpose, for example, we used hand-hewn beams, that were assembled using the traditional "herringbone" technique. The combination of period paint colours also adds to the atmosphere. While respecting the historic character of the building, we have also attempted to achieve maximum comfort for modern users.
